Cartel Law / Competition Law

Weinrauch Attorneys-at-Law has extensive experience in advising companies on cartel and competition law matters. Violations of competition law and cartel law can result in significant fines and even potentially existential damages claims for companies. To protect our clients from such scenarios, we regularly create internal compliance programs that include emergency measures for raids. We also review distribution systems, license agreements, and cooperation agreements to ensure compliance with competition law provisions and assist companies in cartel investigations. This includes representing clients in merger control, cartel, and abuse of dominance proceedings before Austrian cartel authorities, courts, and the European Commission.

Automotive Distribution Law

We provide advice and representation to car dealerships and automotive repair shops in their contracts with general importers and in asserting their claims, particularly in light of cartel law and unfair competition law provisions, as well as unjustified demands from contractual partners. A significant part of our work involves out-of-court and judicial enforcement of compensation and investment claims at the end of contracts, conducting settlement negotiations, and preparing expert opinions.
