Matthias Steyrer studied law in Vienna and London (King’s College) as well as economics in Vienna. He began his professional career in 2001 in a renowned Viennese law firm, where he worked as a associate and partner until 2007. He then worked for several years as Secretary General and Head of Legal Departments in national and international financial institutions. He has been working as an independent attorney at law for several years and has strengthened the team of the law firm Weinrauch Rechtsanwälte in the beginning of 2021. Supported by this experience and the completion of an MBA, he is characterised in particular by a practical approach to the issues of national and international clients.

His practice focuses on corporate and company law, mergers & acquisitions, real estate and construction law, landlord and tenant law, banking and finance law and compliance.

Matthias Steyrer advises domestic and foreign companies, investors and financial institutions on M&A, finance and real estate transactions. He also specialises in compliance and banking supervisory law issues.

His working languages are German and English.
